After a two-year hiatus Slow Food Miami’s 12th annual “Snail of Approval” Tasting Party is back, taking place at The Palms Hotel & Spa on Miami Beach at 7pm. This year the event welcomes Multi Emmy Award winning television personality Cynthia Demos as the Emcee, and Eater Miami editor Olee Fowler and Time Out editor Falyn Wood are the event’s judges. Lit will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary with a 3-day party starting tonight as they have a St Patty’s Day theme where at 4pm the celebration begins; at 8pm they show RuPaul’s Drag Race and at 9pm they feature Loveshack. Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway concert series, presented by Mark Cortale, featuring Jessie Mueller takes place at 8m at The Parker. Mueller most recently starred in The Music Man, as Marian Paroo with Norm Lewis at the Kennedy Center. Previous Broadway credits include Carousel, starring as Julie Jordan opposite Joshua Henry, and originating the role of Jenna Hunterson in composer-lyricist Sara Bareilles’ hit Broadway musical Waitress for which Mueller was nominated for a Tony, Drama Desk and Grammy award. She won all three for her starring role as Carole King in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical.
