Hotspots Happening Out is gearing up to host the vibrant Stonewall Pride Festival and Parade, now officially titled “The City of Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Festival and Parade.” Following a unanimous vote by city commissioners, Wilton Manors became the exclusive title sponsor, showcasing a commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Despite concerns over last year’s financial losses, the city support is to ensure the event’s success, allocating $50,000 to clear outstanding debts and enhance security measures. With increased oversight and input, the partnership promises a seamless and unforgettable experience for attendees. Organizers, led by Stonewall CEO Jeff Sterling, are optimistic about this year’s festivities, anticipating a more inclusive and celebratory atmosphere. While challenges such as political tensions and unpredictable weather persist, the community remains resilient and united in commemorating the Stonewall Riots’ 55th anniversary. More than 60,000 are expected for the parade on Wilton Drive including the largest number of entertainment stages in Stonewall Pride’s history. Mark your calendars for June 15, and join Wilton Manors in honoring LGBTQ+ pride with music, the parade, and joyous revelry. For further information visit stonewallpride.lgbt.
