Pride Skate at Xtreme Action Park, (the first Thursday of the month) is happening today from 7-10pm. Pride skate is presented by Hotspots Magazine and Happening Out TV and is a fundraiser for Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade and Street festival. Coral Springs Center for the Arts (2855 Coral Springs Drive) to Present “In The Heights” from Invision Theatre Company today and tomorrow at 7:30pm. With Music & Lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda, the Super-Hot Show Won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2008. “In The Heights” tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights—where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams, and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions to take with you, and which ones to leave behind. See the world premiere of the play “20 Points” at Empire Stage. Paul and Ollie, a happily married couple, are taking a moment to escape their hectic lives with a much-needed vacation in the woods. But when a stranger knocks on their cabin door seeking help, their night descends into terror. This tense, provocative drama starring Brian Bloomer, Larry Buzzeo, and Chris Ruggere is for mature audiences only and plays Fri, Sat at 8pm and Sun at 5pm through June 16. Oakland Park presents “Wonderland Pride” from 6-10pm at Jaco Pastorius Park (4000 N. Dixie Highway), where they invite you to enjoy a wonderland of whimsical fun and entertainment including live DJ, Cash Bar, Kids activities, lighted dance floor, food trucks and more. Saturday, June 8

NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Power Paintings from Noon – 1:30 pm. Inspired by the artistic practice of Jose Alvarez (D.O.P.A.), and his blending of spirituality, science, and mysticism, create a mixed media work of art with psychedelic colors and floral patterning. Creativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler, a specialist in mindfulness education. Preregistration Required. Space is Limited. The cost is$15 for members, $25 for non-members and this is an 18+ event.

The Pet Project presents the 5th annual Swimwear Auction at Pub on the Drive from 2 to 5pm. Hot models and cute pups walk the runway to raise funds to benefit the Pet Project. The event will once again be hosted by Lady Marisa and also includes a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction, so they invite everyone to come and bid on their favorite model.

FLoatarama, the largest LGBTQ+ Pride-on-Water in America, presents their Fifth Annual Flotilla presented by Hunters Nightclub with breakout gay reality star, Sam Lantz, a finalist on Netflix’s Squid Game: The Challenge, serving as the 2024 Grand Marshal. Noche Latina Saturdays in The Ultra Dance Room and Patio at The Manor Complex celebrates Puerto Rican Pride starring Puerto Ricans Yeisa Jovovich (Miss Florida F.I. 2023/24) and AJ Kline Edwards with host Oscar Novva (Mr. Stonewall 2023/24) along with sexy Go-Go Papi’s and guest DJ J Atom spinning the best mix of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, and Latin House. There will also be a free raffle with over $300 in prizes. Doors open at 11pm and there in NO COVER until Midnight for Florida Residents.

Oscar A Novva (Mr. Stonewall 2023/24) and The Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival present a benefit for the Stonewall Pageantry System entitled “The Trailblazer Awards” from 4-7pm at the Hotspots Happening Out Gallery with Dennis Dean (2401 Dixie Highway). The event will honor Tiffany Arieagus with the Trailblazer Lifetime Achievement Award, Misty Eyez with the Trailblazer Pioneer Award and Commissioner Chris Caputo with the Trailblazer Community Advocate Award. Misty Eyez and Hotspots and Happening Out present the annual Mr. and Miss Stonewall Pageant, sponsored by Sunserve and taking place today at Eagle Wilton Manors with pageant starting promptly at 8pm. The pageant will star last years winners Oscar Novva and Rianna Petrone, as well as many of the formers. This year they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Misty Eyez and the 10th anniversary of Greyson and Alexis.  Categories are Gay Pride Presentation, Evening Wear/Gown, Q&A and Talent. The Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce presents their quarterly Luncheon at Olive and Sea (181 SE 17th Street) presented by Cleveland Clinic Florida. iHeartMedia and P&G will once again join forces during Pride Month for the return of Can’t Cancel Pride – an evening recognizing the impact of both music and LGBTQ+ organizations have on the community. The fifth annual special event will feature performances by Elton John Impact Award Recipient and host Billy Porter, Allison Russell, Ben Platt, David Archuleta, Meghan Trainor, Melissa Etheridge, Orville Peck, RAYE, Victoria Monét and more from the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles and remote locations across the country. The one-hour benefit special, will stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages, Hulu, Revry, and The Advocate Channel today at 8pm stand 5pm pt and will be available to stream throughout Pride Month.

Hunters Nightclub presents a Meet and Greet with Steve Geller, democratic candidate for Broward County Sheriff from 6 to 8pm. The event will include lite bites and complimentary cocktails.

The GFLGLCC (Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce) presents their June Mixer at Wilton River Suites from 5:30 to 7pm. The event includes a complimentary welcome Beer, Wine or Non-Alcoholic drink, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and complimentary valet parking. Admission is free for members with early registration or $5 within 24 hours of the event; future members $10 with early registration and $15 within 24 hours of the event.
