In Omaha, Set the Bar kicks off during Women’s Sweet 16. In Denver, 99ers Sports Bar drew massive crowds in December after the Professional Women’s Hockey League broke the all-time U.S. attendance record. Fans waved signs reading “After party at the 99ers” as lines wrapped around the block. The momentum is fueled by record-breaking viewership: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano match was Netflix’s most-watched U.S. women’s sporting event ever. Last year’s NCAA women’s basketball final outpaced all other basketball games — men’s or women’s — since 2019. Jenny Nguyen, founder of Portland’s The Sports Bra, inspired this movement.
