GMCSF Brings Broadway to Life May 17

On Saturday, May 17, the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida’s elite ensemble, Tropical Wave, will present Simply Sondheim—a one-night-only musical celebration of Broadway’s legendary composer. Led by GMCSF Assistant Conductor Anthony Cabrera and accompanied by pianist Darren Matias, the event promises an evening of rich harmonies and emotional storytelling.

Held at the United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale from 7 PM to 9 PM, the performance will feature iconic selections from Company, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, and more. Audiences can expect a heartfelt tribute showcasing Sondheim’s masterful contributions to musical theater.
