To some, coming out may seem less monumental in 2025, but it remains a deeply personal and empowering milestone for the queer community. For many, it’s about embracing authenticity — and for public figures, it’s also about visibility. This year, Out.com consolidated a list of 39 celebrities who have proudly stepped into their truth. Among them: Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp, RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Aja, and writer Taylor Jenkins Reid. Barry Diller, the billionaire media mogul and longtime husband of fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg, made headlines when he described himself as “bi with Di.” In his memoir Who Knew, Diller wrote that he’s gay and that von Furstenberg is “the only woman I’ve loved.” Olympic volleyball player Erik Shoji came out as queer, while Broadway and drag superstar Jinkx Monsoon shared in an interview with Ziwe that they identify as pansexual. Gracie McGraw, daughter of country icons Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, spoke candidly about her bisexuality on Instagram — not as a declaration, but as a reflection of who she’s always been. These stories remind us that authenticity still shines as the most powerful act of pride.
