Tina Romero’s Queens of the Dead Brings Queer Glitter and Gore Just in Time for Gay Christmas

Halloween — often dubbed “Gay Christmas” — is just days away, and horror royalty Tina Romero is delivering the perfect treat. The daughter of zombie legend George A. Romero is stepping behind the camera with her debut feature, Queens of the Dead — a wild comedy-horror about drag queens and club kids trapped in a Brooklyn warehouse under zombie siege. Tina told Out.com, “I’m so happy that I can take this legacy and put a queer stamp on it…It’s not a George Romero movie, but I hope people feel his spirit.” With an all-star LGBTQ cast including Margaret Cho, Cheyenne Jackson, and Dominique Jackson, Queens of the Dead promises camp, glamour, and glitter in the blood. Queens of the Dead is already in theaters.
