Former Vice President Dick Cheney, a key figure behind the Iraq War and a rare Republican supporter of marriage equality, has died at 84. His family said he died from complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, with loved ones by his side. His wife Lynne and his daughters, Liz and Mary, were with him as he passed. Cheney’s daughter Mary, is a lesbian. He once said, “Freedom means freedom for everyone.” Though conservative, he called Donald Trump a coward and a threat to the republic than any other person in history.
