The National Women’s Soccer League and Orlando Pride are standing strong with forward Barbra Banda after a Fox News guest falsely called her “a male.” On America’s Newsroom, Jennifer Sey, founder of anti-trans brand XX-XY Athletics, made the claim while discussing intersex athletes. Banda, a cisgender woman and Zambian soccer star, has long faced such attacks despite FIFA confirming her eligibility. The NWSL praised Banda as extraordinarily talented and said hate “has no place in our sport.” The Pride added, “She’s a superb teammate, player, and role model — we proudly stand with Barbra.”
