Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, long criticized for anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, says she now regrets her role in “toxic politics.” Speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash after Charlie Kirk’s death, she admitted her past rhetoric was extremely wrong. Greene added: “I would like to say, humbly, I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics, it’s very bad for our country.” Amid her feud with President Trump, she said his traitor remark was dangerous. Reflecting on her influence, Greene said she’s trying “to put down the knives in politics” and hopes others come together as she seeks a new path forward.
