A California educator has won a $1.2 million settlement after alleging anti-LGBTQ discrimination by her school board. Former special-education director Rose Tagnesi sued the Grossmont Union High School District, saying trustees harassed her over her identity and that one member called her and a colleague witches in an LGBTQ coven. She also claimed he told her to keep a low profile about being a lesbian. The board approved the settlement without admitting wrongdoing.
