Will Smith Sued by Male Violinist Over Sexual Harassment and Retaliation Claims

Actor and musician Will Smith is facing a lawsuit from a male tour violinist who alleges sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. Brian King Joseph, who performed on Smith’s Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour, claims the actor displayed predatory behaviour and was “deliberately grooming and priming” him for further sexual exploitation. The lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court, names Smith and Treyball Studios Management as defendants and seeks a jury trial.

Joseph alleges Smith told him, “You and I have such a special connection that I don’t have with anyone else.” He also describes a disturbing incident during a Las Vegas tour stop, claiming his hotel room was unlawfully accessed and personal belongings were left behind, including a bottle of HIV medication with another individual’s name. A note allegedly found in the room read, “Brian, I’ll be back no later 5.30, just us <3 [heart symbol], Stone F.” Joseph says he feared an unknown individual would soon return to his room to engage in sexual acts.

Brian claims he was later “shamed” by management and fired, leading to PTSD and economic loss. Smith’s attorney, Allen B. Grodsky, denied the allegations, stating, “Mr Joseph’s allegations concerning my client are false, baseless, and reckless. They are categorically denied, and we will use all legal means available to address these claims and to ensure that the truth is brought to light.”
