The hit HBO show ‘Heated Rivalry’ has gotten the gay community obsessed with Hockey like never before. The show tells the story of hockey rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as they navigate romantic tension combined with dealing with their teams. Recently 25 year old actor Connor Storrie, who plays Rozanov in the show, was seen with 40 year old François Arnaud, who plays a veteran hockey player, Scott Hunter.
While many were supportive of this suspected relationship, some fans were upset by the age gap between the two adults. Arnaud’s social media was flooded with negative comments, leading him to unfollow nearly all of the people he had previously been following on Instagram, including his co-stars. In an interview with the Toronto Star, Arnaud said,
“What’s happening is that I’m unfollowing everyone, and Instagram won’t let me do that all at once. You can only unfollow a certain amount of people over 24 hours, which I did not know at the time.”
He also posted a picture of himself flipping off a camera, which led many to believe he was responding to the fans who were posting negative comments. When asked about the connection, he said:
“It’s completely unrelated to that. I mean, ‘completely’ maybe would be a lie, but mostly unrelated to that. I’ve done these ‘spot the differences’ posts for a long time, and I just thought it was nice to do something with Hudson, and that’s it.”
