Lantera’s Come As You Are Prom is coming up May 2nd, and it’s basically prom without the awkward slow dances, the bad tux rentals, or your high school crush pretending not to see you in the hallway.
This year’s theme is “Wilton Manors 1926: The Speakeasy.” So think flapper dresses, sharp suits, a little bit of Gatsby glamour… and a lot fewer chaperones.
The best part? This prom is for adults. So the punch isn’t suspiciously red and served in a cafeteria bowl — it’s a real bar.
We’ll have a DJ, live performances, a raffle, and of course we’ll crown a Prom King and Queen, because some of us are still emotionally recovering from not winning that in high school.
But beyond the fun, the event raises money for Lantera’s Mental Health Fund, helping support mental wellness programs right here in South Florida.
So if your prom was amazing, come relive it.
