TAMPA BAY IS ABUZZ WITH POSITIVE GLBT ENERGY
Great things are happening all over the Tampa Bay area and beyond! Five new GLBT bars/clubs are opening! IKEA will be opening next week! The Ybor Resort & Spa will be opening in just a couple of weeks! Plans are well under way for St. Pete Pride, GaYBOR Day’s and The Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Organizations like the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Metro Charities, ASAP, B.M.A.D, P-FLAG Pinellas, HRC Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Salvador Dali Museum, Ybor Art Association, Inc., Una Voce, Tampa Bay Business Guild – TBBG and more are all very active & visible members of the community! Sporting clubs and social clubs like SAC, Outing & Adventures, Monday Mixed Classic Bowling League, Friends Club, Grown Girls, Twirl Girls and more are providing endless new activities! GLBT & GLBT-friendly theater like Gypsy Productions, Inc, Stageworks Theatre and M.A.D. Theatre of Tampa, Inc. are bringing us the very best in theater. All this is due to the efforts of many good people and organizations in our community. Also in part to the GaYBOR District Coalition, located in Historic Ybor City, who are providing a forum to network and socialize in our community. From working next door or across the streets, to across the bay, hands are coming together to form this dynamic GLBT jewel on the West Coast of Florida that we all call home.
