On Thursday evening the Pride Center (GLCC) hosted a Founder Circle cocktail reception and silent auction at Mike Trosts beautiful home in the heart of Wilton Manors. Some of the amazing items up for auction ranged from one of a kind art pieces and jewelry to fabulous all inclusive vacations. The event was well attended; thanks to all who supported this splendid evening. On Saturday the Miami Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) hosted their second annual business expo aptly named EXPLORE ‘09. This year’s event was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center and was kicked off with a LAMBDA Conference hosted by mayor Manny Dias in addition to a number of other guest speakers. The Expo itself was touted as a face to face contact with over 300 MDGLCC member businesses hosted by IGLTA. The day wrapped up with the first annual MDGLCC Taste Of Miami featuring samplings from more than 20 MDGLCC member restaurants. Saturday night Score’s once a month Salvation party was celebrating 10 years of collaboration of Abel, Power and Hilton with a party that packed the house. At one point there was so many people that there was a huge line to get in and they were only letting one in one out. Congrats to this powerful trio and Billy and Luis of Score for such a successful collaboration! Later on that night I stopped by the Red Light District Party at The Club to hear DJ Willy Vela spin and see all the fabulous models of Fabscout performing live shows. It was weird being one of only 3 people dressed, but I must say there was a lot of eye candy. Sunday night I went to Bills for their Full Moon party and Trannie Palace. In honor of the full moon they had a best butt contest. The contest had 6 contestants and the winner was a beautiful hairy bubble butt Colombian boy (I have no idea what his name was….as that wasn’t really important!).

The President of the United States, a religious fanatic, catches wind of a secret formula that suppresses sexual desire and is determined to use it to win the “war on sex.” He manages to steal the formula from the creators before they finish testing it, and no one is prepared for what happens next. The President orders airplanes on a secret mission to cover the globe, spraying the secret formula in every nook and cranny covering the entire hemispheres. But the plan backfires when the formula doesn’t work as promised. Instead of suppressing sexual desire, it actually reverses it. The straights become gay, the gays become straight, and everyone’s lives are turned sexually upside down. Unexpected love flourishes, sexual desires rise to the surface, and when an antidote is finally found, will everyone line up to take it? “Horror in the Wind” stars Perren Hedderson, Morse Bicknell, Courtney Bell and Jiji Hise and is directed by Max Mitchell. “Horror in the Wind” is 90 minutes long and hits the street on October 13th. Suggested retail is $29.95, but it can be purchased at HorrorIn TheWind.com for only $11.95.
