The Center for Spiritual Living Fort Lauderdale has long been a Wilton Manors staple providing a home for non-denominational “New Thought” spiritual growth and development. In addition to numerous endeavors enriching the lives of the community, the Center is pleased to announce a new performing arts series promoting cultural community activities reaching out to a diverse and expanding population to highlight and support important needs of our community.

Since the Center has a beautiful sanctuary that transforms into a terrific performing arts theater, the Center will put the 500 seat venue to great use over the next year promoting numerous arts and cultural events to benefit their community outreach program and to specifically honor and support local organizations that so greatly need their support.

On April 30th through May 2nd the Center will kick-off this series when local favorites David McBride and Debra Hampton bring their show “The Double D’s Salute Las Vegas” to the Center for a 3 night engagement highlighting and benefiting a different charity each night. The show is a lively and fun revue featuring the hits of Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, Tony Bennett and of course, Bette Midler and Barry Manilow. Musical Director Phil Hinton and his terrific musicians provide the live accompaniment and special guest Michael L. Walters, Florida’s own Dame Edna, will open the evening’s festivities each night with delightful wit and song.

The Center has chosen three terrific organizations to benefit: Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward (April 30th); Canine Assisted Therapy (May 1st); and Anita Priest “Whispering Angels” Memorial Scholarship Fund (May 2nd).

Tickets are $35 for reserved seating and $20 for general admission. Advanced purchases are available online at BlackTie-SouthFlorida.com/boxoffice or by calling 954-566-2868.
