Tampa wasn’t the largest of the non profits attending this year’s conference Florida Together held Saturday, July 24 in Orlando. Political candidates including running for Florida Attorney General Dave Aronberg addressed the over 100 non profit leaders from around the state. Jacksonville had the largest number of organizations at the conference this year. The organization is a wealth of resources and information for all GLBT non profits in Florida.
Tampa’s very own “Be Who Your Are Bar,” Chelsea Nightclub is known for its generosity and community spirit. This time they went way above and beyond with their benefit BBQ for the fallen Tampa police officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab. A crowd of over 100 attendees packed Chelsea. Tampa’s Assistant Chief of Police made a thank you appearance. The event was covered by FOX Channel 13 and us. A huge thank you to Nikki and Chelsea for making our community PROUD!
