The telephone lines weren’t working yet and the internet wasn’t hooked up, but the staff at Bio Scrip Phamacy already had a load of work to do. The new pharmacy opened Monday in the Metro Wellness Building on 7th Avenue and Metro Wellness administrative offices is opening on the 2nd floor December 1st. Regional Account Manager Olga Gramatica and Registered Pharmacist JoAnn Padell showed me around the new facility. They moved from the South Tampa Henderson/Swann Avenue location. The clients are 50% HIV clients and a lot of organ transplant clients. The new technology and new drugs formulated are available in a syringe rather than pills, so clients can inject themselves. This is great to have a pharmacy right in Ybor City. The address is 1315 East 7th Avenue. Bio Scrip Pharmacy has 35 locations. Now comes the grocery store!
