Within our LGBT community exists very special people who volunteer their time and talent on a daily basis. And these people have touched so many lives and made such a difference. Judy Shepherd is one of these people. Judy is an energetic, committed and trusted member of our community known by everyone. She is first in line to volunteer and support a myriad of events in the community. Whether it’s the Stonewall Library and Archives, the Pride Center, Lavender Events, or to care for your animals while you’re away from home, her answer is always “yes”. And now Judy needs your help. Recently diagnosed with cancer, Judy is undergoing surgery and follow-up treatment in a local hospital. Like many others, Judy is without health insurance. She needs the help and support of the family she has helped and supported all these years. A dedicated bank account has been set up by The Pride Center to manage donations sent on her behalf. Please stop by the Center any time and make your tax deductible donation or use the PayPal option on the front page of their website: PrideCenterFlorida.org. Judy has stood by and supported our community for decades – it is now time for us to stand by and support Judy.
