GaYBOR Days 2011 is full speed ahead. It starts on June 30 with the 7th Ave Health & Wellness Fair, Harvey Milk Tribute Movie, Bar Crawl, Huge Top Liner Concert, Music Festival and Miss GaYBOR Pageant. GaYBOR is offering fundraiser opportunities to non-profits this year. A big casting call has just gone out to all the wonderful local talent too. . .The big parking lot on 7th Ave & 15th Street next to G.BAR is undergoing a wonderful makeover this week. New trees, landscaping and lots of asphalt… Local Ybor think tank artist, David Audett has done it again! The Cuban Sandwich Show is the talk of the artist community. Una Voce, Tampa’s Gay Men’s Choral Group, is having their summer concert “Oh, What A Night” on June 17th and 18th. There’s always a sold out crowd. Volunteers Needed For World Dragon Boat Races
The Tampa Bay area will welcome thousands of visitors from over 30 countries in August 2011 for the IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championship and community volunteers are needed. The Tampa Bay Dragon Boat Institute and the Host Committee for the 2011 World Championship are looking for over 500 volunteers to help with this week-long adventure that includes the first Pan American Club Crew Championships from July 30-31 and the 10th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships from August 2-7.
