My father led by example. He taught me his golden rule for life – “Take care of others first, and the universe will ensure you are provided for.”

My father was the greatest because of what he actively tried to teach me and what I learned by watching him. He always said if you put in the work, success will eventually follow. I’ve tried to live by that in every aspect of my life and career and so far, so good. Whatever failures I’ve suffered, it’s simply because I didn’t put in the work. Even though he passed away several years ago, on rare occasions, I can still hear his voice cheering me on to try again, but the next time put in 110% effort.

That which I consider to be the most important accomplishment of my life is also the greatest gift — my relationship with my dad. We were able to begin a true healing process before he passed away, a process that continues to evolve.
