Last Week in Review
As I told you in last week’s column we had an early deadline prior to July 4th weekend, so I will let the pics tell you the story.
This past weekend I crashed Friday night as my body was saying “ENOUGH.” On Saturday I went to The State of Florida Continental Pool Party and benefit at Depot. This was a benefit to raise money to send Corey’s (owner of the pageant) winners to Chicago to the Nationals in September. It was a very fun afternoon, especially the Swimsuit auction part…..sexy models!! Saturday night I was out and about in Wilton Manors and ran into Shangela, who was a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race and was a pleasure to interview a few months back and equally as nice in person. She informed me she was performing at Matty’s on Sunday night and I promised her I would stop by. I did as did many other people as Matty’s was packed with Shangela fans who were all saying “Halleloo.” This was a fun show by a really nice person . Keep an eye on Shangela as she has a pilot in the making. Afterwards I stopped by The Manor for their monthly Bear Nation T Dance and watched the Wet Bear Contest where my friend Andrew (the Cub) won!
