Saturday night Corey Boyd expanded his annual Kind of A Drag event to a twice a year event and produced a Christmas in July edition at the Walt Lawrence and Stephen Lewis Center for Worship and the Arts. The night featured fabulous entertainment by some of the top names in drag (men’s and women’s) as well as giving out awards to some of our community’s best including Terry DeCarlo, T.P. On Sunday, Mona’s celebrated their 14th anniversary as well as the 64th birthday of owner Jerry. The event was a super success and Jerry took this opportunity to give away hundreds of prizes to his loyal customers. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Jerry and wish him many more years of success!

Sunday night I headed to SoBe Social Club’s House Sundays which is held in downtown Miami where 2 houses were attached and turned into a club. It is such a unique concept and the place is so beautifully decorated I urge everyone to check it out. What a cool vibe!

Later on, I went to Club Sugar for the Marytrini and the Diva’s de Jacuzzi show, which has been packing them in for over 13 years (starting from the old Concord). This show is always hilarious and filled with fun!
