Last Monday was the much anticipated Roast of Pompano Bill at the Boardwalk. If you were there you know how obvious it is that this community loves Pompano as the Boardwalk was packed with the who’s who in the Fort Lauderdale gay scene. Pompano took the roasting as a champ as you could tell he felt the love from everyone. A special two thumbs up to the fabulous Nikki Adams who had me and the entire crowd in stitches. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the movie “Mommie Dearest” the la weekly theater award-winning comedy Mommie Queerest comes to Fort Lauderdale’s Empire Stage as the fourth stop on its national tour. The hit parody will play 12 shows only beginning August 11 through Sunday, August 28. The play runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 5pm.
