The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is on through November 11. The festival was founded in 1986 and is celebrating its 26th year. Dedicated to foreign and independent films, FLIFF annually showcases over 200 films from over 35 countries. It was listed as “Longest Film Festival in the World” in The Guinness World Records.
The popular fest has some exciting GLBT interest films this year. Here are some you won’t want to miss.

“Dreaming American”
This film follows a man on the cusp of success in New York, dealing with immigration and struggling to make it in America.
“Some Things Are Worse Than Being Gay”
Leah comes out to her parents, who handle the news well. However, they are not pleased to find out her daughter’s girlfriend isn’t Jewish.
“Viewer Discretion Advised”
This movie focuses on the fragile romance between two Filipino-American Men. Are they obsessed or addicted?
“With This Ring”
This romantic thriller shows two men who are meeting for the first time and nothing is what it seems. The pair has an unusual encounter.
“Walk A Mile In My Pradas”

Tom Archdeacon (who also wrote this film) stars as Steve, a new gay co-worker who gets picked on by his co-worker Tony (Nathan Parisi). Fate intervenes and Steve turns straight and Tony turns gay and the two learn a lot about each other. Tom Arnold also stars in this fun film.
