‘BAZAII!’ Cabaret Comes To The Sunshine Cathedral Hosting The 2012 Miss Lady Boy
South Florida based entertainment Production Company Gone By Dawn Productions is once again presenting the 2012 Miss LadyBoy USA Pageant on Monday, Nov. 12th at the Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 7 p.m. Sponsored by Alyson Thomas Productions, Hotspots Magazine, the Noche Latina Pageantry System, Corrie Boyd of Taylor Ace Productions and Juan Saco Mironoff of Miami Gay Blog.
Bazaii! is the creation of Dawn Scott, who is recognized around the world as an innovator in introducing American audiences to the beautiful world of Ladyboys.
A true illusion and a mystifying wonder to behold, the history of Katoeys (ladyboys) dates back as far as World War II, when the Thai entertained soldiers in theatrical productions. At the time, Thai women were forbidden to perform in public, so men dressed as ladies for female roles. Today in Thailand, katoeys . ― or women of the second kind, are often referred to as the third gender.
“LadyBoys are a feast for the eyes in the wonderfully choreographed extravaganza of Bazaii!, audience members will become admirers right away. It is time for America to be introduced to these beautiful women,” says Ms. Scott.
Critics have hailed Bazaii! as “truly, original entertainment” and “a mix of Las Vegas style, Hollywood glamour, and the magic of the Orient.” See the spectacular, Ladyboy Bazaii in “Night of Carnival” at Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, Friday, December 7th, 2012.
The Sunshine Cathedral is dedicated to promoting and educating the public in diversity and tolerance for all people through theatre arts. It presents shows with multi-cultural themes and works of social relevance.
