THE DOME RESTAURANT, BAR & LOUNGE BRINGS GLITZ AND GLAM TO CORAL GABLES WITH MOSCOW DISKO WEDNESDAYS
The Dome Restaurant, Bar & Lounge (271 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables), an environmentally conscious, farm-to-table eatery and caviar bar on Miracle Mile, is thrilled to announce Moscow Disko – a new weekly party celebrating food, music, and the arts, all in the heart of Coral Gables. Moscow Disko launches January 9 and Wednesdays on the Mile will never be the same.
The Dome is the first LEED® Silver certified restaurant in Coral Gables (only the 2nd in South Florida and the first independently owned). Utilizing the application of recycled materials, local farm vendors, an induction kitchen, LED lighting, green operation methods and digital menus on iPads, to name only a few, The Dome brings a modern and sustainable restaurant to Coral Gables.
In its continued support and adoration of the LGBT community, The Dome is bringing the early eighties back. Hosted by local author, Ily Goyanes (Miami New Times, Miami International Book Fair, Girls Who Score: Hot Lesbian Erotica) and musically curated by Billboard DJ and Producer, Maximus 3000 (Miami Beach Pride, White Party, Winter Music Conference), Moscow Disko guarantees a memorable evening for sassy socialites and blithe bohemians alike. Expect The Dome’s exquisite edibles on hand, plus a reverse happy hour, $3 beers, and a complimentary champagne toast. Each week a different local artist will be exhibiting their work and mingling with guests.
Selected works from Eleazar Delgado’s “Behind the Lights” series will be on display for Moscow Disko’s official launch party. A celebrated Wynwood artist, Delgado captures the rich history of Miami with bold colors and geometric shapes in a way that only he can. “My work illuminates portals to expose the beautiful way color and light shape the relationship between Miami’s historical icons and the Magic City,” says the artist. Delgado will be on hand to speak about his work and of course, to socialize! Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase selected works.
Come early and enjoy dinner or saunter in after 8 pm to sip on some savory cocktails and naughty nibbles — all at reverse happy hour prices. Appreciate the artsy, upscale vibe; all while enjoying the classic beats presented by Maximus 3000. The noted DJ and Producer will take Wednesday evenings back to the nights of Fire & Ice, playing all your favorite electronic hits from the early eighties, from artists such as Freeez, Lime, Kraftwerk, Telex, Yaz, Giorgio Moroder, Berlin, and Patrick Cowley. At 11 pm the atmosphere heats up when Maximus 3000 drops indie, Nu-disco and House Music for guests too hot to go home.
