The Cabaret South Beach

cabaret_bannerBurlesque is back in South Beach, this time in a modern interpretation. Edison Farrow, the renowned nightlife promoter, and businessman Ed de Caso have partnered to bring life to “The Cabaret South Beach,” a performance venue where singers and musicians entertain audiences with live music shows seven days a week. Oh, and did we mention the performers are also the servers and bartenders?

Guests will slip past the red velvet curtains to be surrounded by mood-appropriate music and dramatic lighting in an uninhibited atmosphere. Immersed in a theatrical extravaganza where grandiose French baroque decorative elements merge with opulent furniture and rich, royal colors, patrons will be dazzled as well as entertained.

“Antique gold-framed paintings, crystal chandeliers, and a white baby grand piano will set the stage for our staff of server-performers and coupled with surprise acts from guest performers, The Cabaret is sure to become a can’t-miss evening out for cocktails, conversation and great music,” said Farrow, co-owner of The Cabaret. Co-owner de Caso commented, “With so many live music venues closing, it is encouraging to have a new and unique performance venue right in the heart of South Beach.”

Signature cocktails at The Cabaret South Beach also reflect the cabaret heritage and vibe of the lounge. Among the libations offered are such diva-inspired concoctions as “The Liza,” “The Bette,” “The Celia,” “Chita Margarita,” and “Lady Sings the Blues.”

With an incredible cast of extremely talented performers, some who just graduated from music school and others who are self-taught, they all share their love and passion for music. Live performances will also include musical instruments such as piano, guitar, ukulele and even saxophone.

One of the prominent cast members of The Cabaret South Beach is Rachel Larralde, born and raised into a musical family in Havana, Cuba. Since a very young age she started singing to family and friends, writing her own songs and playing a variety of instruments from guitars and drums to bells. They have many cast members with stories that are just as compelling.

Located at 233 12th Street between Washington and Collins Avenues, The Cabaret South Beach will celebrate its official grand opening on December 12, 13 and 14 with a Hollywood-style glam red carpet event. Doors will open each night at 9 p.m. with live performances from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. each night. The grand opening celebration will also feature special guest divas each night.

The lounge will initially be open seven days a week at 9 p.m. to be followed soon by a Happy Hour piano player who will perform daily from 5 to 9 p.m.
