It was a pleasure to sit down with the general manager of Crunch Oakland Park to find out more about this gym.
What made you decide to become a franchise owner and open up a Crunch in Oakland Park?
Crunch offers a brand that is highly respected in the industry. It’s also flexible enough for franchise owners to be present to offer the hands-on customer service that is lacking in today’s competitive health club marketplace.
Tell me about your fitness background.
As a lifelong athlete, fitness has been at the center of my life since I was eight years old. I have worked in the fitness industry since 2001 and have done everything from club cleaning and maintenance to executive level leadership. Mostly, I have been a passionate advocate for people changing their lives through fitness programming and direction.
What are the membership dues?
We have three membership types: $9.95, $19.95 or $29.95 per month.

Features and benefits are all fine and good but at the end of the day, none of this separates one club brand from the other. What makes us different is cleanliness and members’ service. We pride ourselves in the fact that we offer a Ritz-Carlton experience at a Motel 6 price.
