Last Wednesday the Alibi/Monkey Bar brought back the much loved and missed Alibi Feud. It was a great night of game show fun. Pictured is the Hunters team with host Scot Newell. On Thursday, was the monthly GLBX After-Hours Mixer, which this month took place at the The Pride Center. On Fridays there were birthdays everywhere: first there was 2 Guys on a Mic Karaoke Friday’s at the Stable, which featured a birthday edition celebrating the birthdays of owner Ken and Manager Howard and then over at Rumors they featured a birthday celebration for hostess Daisy Deadpetals. Also on Friday, The Palace featured New York City Drag Legend Harmonica Sunbeam performing and as usual she turned it out! Saturday evening my buddy John Best of JM Best Entertainment (who I met through Tommy and Billy of One Magical Weekend) invited me to attend the Miss Florida USA pageant (Yes, the biological girls) at the Parker Playhouse. There were 51 delegates, but in the end the beautiful Bree Gabrielle of Palm Beach deservedly took the crown and she will be a great representative for Florida at next year’s Miss USA pageant. Sunday afternoon, a few friends and I went to Steak 954 at the W Fort Lauderdale for Brunch. Not only was the brunch scrumptious (I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Benedict) and the service amazing, but it was heartwarming to drive up and see the rainbow flag with the “W” icon being prominently displayed. Sunday evening Dustin Reffca’s Electric Sheep Sundays at Score presented, direct from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7, Kennedy Davenport performing live and as usual Kennedy turned it out!
