2nd Annual South Florida Tequila Festival

Last year’s inaugural South Florida Tequila Festival, held at Stache (109 SW 2nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale), was a big hit! Over fifty different expressions of tequila were available for sampling from nineteen different brands. In just one year, the South Florida Tequila Festival became one of the most popular spirit-tasting events held in the entire Sunshine State (it’s easy to see why everyone loved it; it’s the only event of its kind in the state).

Organizers from Florida’s Day of the Dead Celebrations are planning on making the second outing of this festival is even better than the first. People will have the chance to sample dozens of expressions of tequila from a number of different brand names, all the while learning about the beautiful culture, arts and entertainment on the Mexican peninsula. This year’s South Florida Tequila Festival will be held at Stache on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 7 p.m.

At the festival, there will be a VIP tequila tasting which will begin an hour before the main festival. The festival will include spirit-tastings, free hors d’oeuvres from local Mexican restaurants and caterers, and live music and entertainment that showcases some of the best Mexico has to offer. VIP ticketholders will be allowed access to exclusive tastings not seen in the main festival, a larger selection of food samples, a complimentary tasting glass, and a complimentary gift bag. All ticketholders will have the chance to vote on their favorite tequila, and everyone will also get a chance to purchase bottles of tequila to bring home if they find themselves so impressed.
