Stonewall National Museum Gala 2024 Honors Diana Nyad February 24

The 2024 Stonewall National Museum, Archives, and Library’s Gala is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 24th at The Venue in Wilton Manors. The evening will commence at 6:00 PM with a cocktail reception in the Epic Ballroom featuring delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a fabulous silent auction. Guests will be invited into the Crystal Ballroom at 7 PM for more festivities including dinner with an open bar, entertainment, awards, and live auction. Over 500+ guests and VIPs are expected to attend this extravaganza. The Gala is also Stonewall’s largest fundraising event generating almost 50% of the organization’s operating funds. This year’s Stonewall Gala has a theme of “Standing on The Shoulders of Heroes” and the list of honorees justifies this grand theme. The honorees of the Stonewall National Museum Gala 2024 include marathon swimmer Diana Nyad who became most famous for her swim, at the age of 64, between Havana and Key West; Stacy Ritter, CEO of Visit Lauderdale who has shown unfading commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community; and Stars of “The Stroll” HBO Documentary by Kristen Lovell talking about her time working “the stroll,” in the West Village in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Zander Moricz will be the special guest at the Gala. Moricz is a Harward student who is now the president of the Sarasota School Board. The tickets to the event start from $350.
