‘Disney on Ice’ Presents ‘Frozen’ & ‘Encanto’ with Two Stops in South Florida

For the first time, Disney On Ice invites families to step inside the magical adventures of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, the #1 Animated feature of all time, and Disney Animation’s Encanto, the 2022 Academy Award, BAFTA, and Golden Globe Award winner for Best Animated Feature, as they come to life like never before.  This adventure on ice transports fans into two of the most popular Disney films as audiences can sing-along to their favorite songs while embracing world-class ice skating, aerial acrobatics and more when Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto skates into South Florida playing from April 4–7 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise followed by April 24-28, 2024 at Watsco Center in Miami.

Audiences will see Anna, Elsa, Mirabel, and the Madrigal family live, as well as fan favorites Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, and many more.  Narrating the captivating story of Frozen is Olaf, the lovable snowman who likes warm hugs and all things summer.  Astounding ice-skating transports families to Arendelle to be a part of Anna’s adventure to find Elsa, whose icy powers unleashed an eternal winter. Kristoff and Sven take fans along as they encounter wintry conditions in a race to bring back summer.

After a very Frozen adventure, audiences will journey to a vibrant town in the mountains of Colombia where they will meet the Madrigals, an extraordinary family who live in a magical casita in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.   Mirabel tells the tale of her amazing family and her journey to save the casita, her enchanted family home, alongside her sisters: Isabela, whose perfection radiates with her ability to make plants grow and flowers bloom with every step, and Luisa, with the gift of super strength that she uses to help her village move buildings and reroute rivers.  For the first time live, fans can witness Tia Pepa, who can control the weather with her emotions; her husband Felix; their daughter Dolores, with her gift to hear; and Bruno, the mysterious and misunderstood Madrigal family member whose visions foretold the future.

We caught up with Tiffany Beranger to dish on “Disney on Ice” and the upcoming South Florida shows.

How old were you when you began skating, and did you always have the performance bug?

I was 4 years old when I started skating, and I started competing at 6 and I fell in love with being able to do that for a crowd.

At what point did you consider skating a career?

During Covid, I was thinking to myself  what more I could do with skating other than coaching, and I had remembered I watched Disney on Ice and other similar shows and I said why not try this professionally.

What’s the best part about working for Feld Entertainment? And what’s the best part of playing Dolores?

The best part about working for Feld is traveling and I get to see cities I would never had been able to see. Being able to travel and see the different types of audiences that sing and dance with us is amazing. I love being able to play Cousin Delores since she can hear everything from a mile away. I also love playing her as she does help the family.

What are some of the favorite cities you have toured?

I think my favorite city by far is Montreal. When we went there it was snowy and it was just a different place, and the city took me aback. I also enjoyed the audience there. Here in the states, I absolutely enjoyed playing in Orlando.

Are you excited to come back to South Florida where you grew up?

I am super excited to come back to my home town and for my family and friends to come out and see me in this fabulous show.

Who are your role models?

My parents are one of my favorite role models; they’ve been married for 41 years and have managed to live a prosperous family-oriented lifestyle, which I really do admire. Another role model that deserves a lot of credit is my first, primary coach. Virgilie Aliu is a woman who became not only a role model but my mentor still to this day. She’s not only a brilliant instructor but also a multi-business owner. Virgilie has shown me the importance of ambition, determination, and dedication for any instance.

What are you planning to do after your skating career?

I do have other plans, but I believe I can merge the two. Right now, I am just enjoying what I do at Disney on ice.

Describe yourself in three words?

Dedicated and determined.

What do you do for fun?

I like to sing or lay in bed and relax.

What should our readers expect from Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto?

You can expect Ana Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all the characters. This is Olaf’s narration of Frozen and taking us through that journey. There are tons of cool tricks happening in the show. This is a show for kids and adults!
