Just under a year after his arrest, Justin Heath Smith—better known in the gay adult film world as Austin Wolf—has pleaded guilty to a federal felony charge involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The 44-year-old former performer entered his plea in a Manhattan courtroom before U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer.
Federal prosecutors say Smith used electronic communications in late 2023 and early 2024 to lure a 15-year-old boy to New York City for sex. According to court documents, Smith was working with another adult and knowingly violated laws designed to protect minors from predatory behavior. Smith had been one of the most recognizable names in gay adult entertainment—widely followed, carefully branded, and commercially successful. His fall from grace began with a June 2024 arrest following an FBI undercover operation. He’s since been held without bond at MDC Brooklyn.
Prosecutors say they uncovered “hundreds of videos” of child sexual abuse, some involving prepubescent children and infants. Investigators allege much of it was shared over Telegram. During an April raid, over two dozen devices were seized, including smartphones and MacBooks, which Smith has now agreed to forfeit. Smith faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison, with a possible maximum of life. His sentencing is scheduled for September 29 at the Thurgood Marshall U.S. Courthouse in Manhattan.
