On Saturday, August 2, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, SunServe will host a Back-to-School Supply Giveaway at AHF South in partnership with BLACC and Spark United. The Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition (BLACC) unites Black-American cultural influencers and health advocates to promote sexual health and wellness.
Spark United empowers women and girls with knowledge, resources, and supportive community connections. This give-away aims to support LGBTQ youth and families as they prepare for the new school year during a time of increasing social and political stress. SunServe, which has provided essential services to queer youth, adults, and seniors since 2002, will offer free school supplies and groceries to help families offset rising costs. The event will also include health resources and community engagement opportunities. More information about the initiative is on sunserve.org.
