Hotspots Magazine Dives Into Hollywood’s Queerest Upcoming Projects

Our Hotspots Happening Out LGBTQ lifestyle magazine Hotspots is back with features on the latest LGBTQ-forward buzz in Hollywood, including Adele’s upcoming acting debut, Miss Piggy’s big moment, and a queer twist on a Christmas classic. Adele is preparing to step onto the big screen in Tom Ford’s Cry to Heaven, adapted from the 1982 Anne Rice novel. She joins an all-star cast including Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and trans actress Hunter Schafer. The film is set to begin shooting in early 2026, with a likely 2027 release. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence revealed on the Las Culturistas podcast that she and Emma Stone are producing a Miss Piggy–led movie written by Cole Escola.

Lawrence said they will “probably appear in the film,” though nothing is confirmed. Also on the horizon is a gay Christmas Carol starring Ian McKellen and Tramell Tillman, with Johnny Depp as Scrooge and Ti West directing. A November 2026 release is promised. And rumors are swirling in West Hollywood, where Shahs of Sunset stars Reza, GG, and MJ were spotted filming around GG’s Persian food truck. This feature story and many more are included in your free copy of the upcoming issue of Hotspots Magazine on stands this Thursday, December 2.
