Kevin Couch has stepped down just 12 days after being appointed vice president of artistic programming at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts. Couch resigned on Wednesday, January 28, offering no explanation. His exit follows mounting controversy after the board voted to rename the institution the Trump-Kennedy Center, after Donald Trump replaced the chair and removed board members. Artists have protested this move by canceling performances, while ticket sales have plunged to their lowest levels since the pandemic.
