Former Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is publicly breaking with Donald Trump—declaring the MAGA movement “was all a lie.” In an interview with radio host Kim Iversen, Greene accused Donald Trump and his administration of serving wealthy donors over everyday Americans. Greene said, “I think people are realizing it was all a lie. It was a big lie for the people. What MAGA is really serving in this administration, who they’re serving, is their big donors.” Greene also criticized Trump’s foreign policy priorities, alleging that global corporate interests are driving U.S. decisions.
Referring to the war in Gaza, she said, “ We are seeing war on behalf of Israel, we are seeing the people in Gaza, innocent people in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of them completely murdered so that they can build some new real estate development. Money can pour in and everybody can get rich there in the new Gaza.” The fallout traces back to disputes over the Epstein Files. Greene said Trump rejected her proposal to invite Epstein’s victims to the White House, calling it their final conversation.
In her resignation letter, reported by BBC, Greene wrote: “Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for.”
