A surprising shortage is making headlines at the Milano Cortina Winter Games. Athletes reportedly ran out of free condoms just three days after arrival. Reports from La Stampa say fewer than 10,000 condoms were distributed across Athlete Villages — a sharp contrast to Paris 2024’s 300,000. The scarcity appears to have fueled online resales, with packs listed for roughly $125. Organizers told People, “We can confirm that condom supplies in the Olympic Villages were temporarily depleted due to higher-than-anticipated demand. Additional supplies are being delivered…They will be continuously replenished until the end of the Games to ensure continuous availability.”
