Preview images show Trump’s portrait overlaid on the Declaration of Independence inside the cover, along with his signature in gold. Another page includes artwork depicting the Founding Fathers signing the historic document. In a statement, State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott made the announcement, stating, “As the United States celebrates America’s 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to commemorate this historic occasion.” He added that the passports will have the same security features that make them the most secure documents in the world. The commemorative passports are expected to launch in July under the administration’s America250 initiative, which also includes events like a UFC fight at the White House and a Grand Prix street race in Washington, D.C. The booklet will initially be available at the Washington Passport Agency for U.S. citizens applying for new passports, while supplies last, with no additional fee. Since taking office, Trump has expanded the use of his name and image across federal buildings and programs, including renaming cultural institutions and introducing branded initiatives tied to his administration.
