The City of Wilton Manors invites residents, families, and friends to celebrate the 79th Birthday of the Island City on Saturday, May 16, at 12 PM at Richardson Historic Park & Nature Preserve. The community Birthday BBQ will feature delicious food, music, and neighborhood fun in one of the city’s most scenic historic locations. Additionally, while the beloved Island City Canoe Race will pause this year, city leaders are exploring a refreshed and more inclusive paddle event for 2027 featuring kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft.
