Nothing makes the Summer hotter than Womenfest; it is time to let the restrained fun out ladies! This coming September, Key West will welcome hundreds of women from across the globe over Labor Day weekend to enjoy a wide range of activities and events during a five-day celebration of revelry and fun.  For decades, Womenfest has attracted thousands of lesbians, transwomen, and allies to what is arguably the premier LGBTQ+ vacation destination in the country.  Since its introduction over 20 years ago, Key West Womenfest has grown to become a standard for celebrating women ranging from all ages 21 and over. Couples, singles, and those in between are all welcome! So, pack your bikini/shorts, tank tops and your sunscreen to enjoy the Key West, Sept 7-11. Here is a list of events for this year:

Tuesday, September 6

6:30pm-8:30pm—Pre-Womenfest Kick-off Sunset Sail featuring Marjory Lee & Trio.

Come on board the SV Argo Navis, the only luxury catamaran sailing yacht in Key West, for an exclusive sail celebrating WomenFest. Wednesday, September 7

6pm-8pm— Kick off the fun at the official Welcome Party (our women-only September mixer) with DJ Citizen Jane at host hotel, Silver Palms Inn at 830 Truman Avenue.

8:30pm—Celebrate the opening of Women Fest with one of Key West’s Best Comedians at Comedy Key West at 218 Whitehead St #5,  featuring local comedian Gwen Filosa,

9pm— Womenfest Edition Drag Show at Aqua Bar & Nightclub, 711 Duval St. Stop by after the Welcome Party and hang with Key West’s very own, Aquanettes!

Thursday, September 8

12pm-3pm—Ultimate Beach Bash and Cornhole Tournament @ Lagerheads on Simonton Beach on Simonton Street.

5:30pm–7pm—“Women, Words, & Art Poetry Reading and Art Exhibition” featuring women poets of the Key West Poetry Guild and local artists. A combination of round-robin and open mic readings at Little Room Jazz Club, 821 Duval St.

8pm—The Girly Burly Burlesque Show is back for a special Women’s Fest production in the Listening Room at the Key West Theater, 512 Eaton St., Naval Air Station.

9pm–1am—“Her Night” Clothing optional Dance Party at Poke in the Rear, 504 Angela Street.

Friday, September 9

8am-9am—Early Bird Clean Up with Plogging the Keys. Meet at Duval Street and Petronia Street.

11am— Clothing optional Sandbar Snorkel trip on the Blu Q, 120 Margaret Street. Set sail on the Blu Q Catamaran to one of many remote reefs off the Florida National Marine Sanctuary for snorkeling with tropical fish and various marine life.

12pm-3pm— “Kat’s Are you Wet Pool Party” at host hotel Alexander’s Guesthouse, 1118 Fleming Street.

5pm-8pm—“Don’t be a woman to blame” Happy Hour at Margaritaville, 2001 S Roosevelt Blvd. Enjoy Happy Hour, Silent Auction, and special guest performances by Marjory Lee.

8pm-close— “T*tties and Tutus” at 22 & Co, 504 Angela Street. No bra, no problem. No tutu, no entry. Free Cover, but tutus are required to party.

10pm-2am— Womenfest “50 Shades of Pink” Dance Party at Mangoes, 700 Duval Street.

Saturday, September 10

10am-11:30am— Explore Key West’s Literary side with a Bike ride to visit the City of Key West’s Art in Public Places Sidewalk Installations at 22 & Co, 504 Angela Street.

12pm— All welcome pool party at Bourbon St. Pub, 724 Duval Street.

8pm—Sarah Potenza & Katie Kadan at Key West Theater, 512 Eaton St., Naval Air Station.

9pm — Glow Dance party at Sidebar at AquaPLex, 504 Angela Street. Enjoy drink specials, and go-go, dancers, all night long!

Sunday, September 11

12pm —Drunkin’ Drag Brunch – Womenfest Edition at Mangoes, 700 Duval Street.

Right after, Tea Dance at La te da,1125 Duval Street.
