Who was the first Male Entertainer you saw and tell me about the experience?

Damoni Hall Dickerson was the first male entertainer I remember seeing. His creative direction and attention to detail provided an entertaining show that kept my attention the entire number.

When did you decide you wanted to be a male entertainer?

I decided I wanted to be a male entertainer in 2008. After watching drag shows I saw something I knew I would excel at.

What’s your favorite number(s) to perform and why?

Anything by Chris Brown because of our resemblance and the dance skills we have in common. His music also exudes a lot of emotion and detailed background vocals.

What’s the best thing that has happened to you as a male entertainer?

The best thing to happen to me as a male entertainer was winning my first title, Mr. Glamorous 2022. I was the first male crowned, winning $10,000. Neema Bahrami and Dale Dees had a vision of giving male entertainers a platform to showcase their talent. But sadly, Dale passed away on November 30, 2019. He was a very close friend of mine, so I felt it was only right for me to be the one to carry on his legacy in a positive light.

What differentiates you from other entertainers?

My drive and passion both on and off stage for the art of male entertainment differentiates me from others. I tend to help others before helping myself. I am a very detail-oriented entertainer that pays close attention to all aspects of the number I am performing. I also always make sure to showcase my unique style through costumes, makeup and even hairstyles.

You are the reigning Mr. Florida M.E. and a former Mr. Glamorous. Is there another pageant on your horizon?

I want to take a break for a year to enjoy a little “me time.” In my opinion silence is golden and you should never tell anyone your next move. When I decide my next pageant you can catch me at registration, nobody will ever be able to get ready for me.

Describe yourself in 3 words?

Talented, Nerdy, and Loyal

What do you do for fun?

I’m a huge nerd, I enjoy playing my PlayStation 5, building Lego sets, shopping for Nike Jordan 1’s and fitted hats. I also love playing with my beautiful Dalmatian, Ink.

You are now the co-host of Platinum Fridays in Orlando. Tell us how that happened and how it’s been. (Bobby’s co-host is former Miss Florida at Large Angelica Sanchez).

First, I would like to express the amount of respect, gratitude and admiration I have for Angelica Sanchez. She is not just a co-host, but truly family. I call her my Tete because she reminds me of my aunt’s back home. Angelica has been an icon in the Orlando hip hop scene for as long as I can remember. She witnessed my growth as a performer at the Parliament House and started booking me there for Hip Hop Tuesdays. As the night progressed and changed venues becoming Platinum Fridays, I became a regular cast member and eventually her co-host which has been an amazing experience.

What does the future hold for you?

Stay Tuned to find out.

You can catch Bobby giving up his title as Mr. Florida M.E. 2023/24 at the Mr. Florida M.E. Pageant on Sunday, October 6 at the Venue Fort Lauderdale at 8pm. For more information on the pageant go to MissFloridaFIpageant.com, and for more info on Bobby, follow him at Instagram.com/astroboi12.
