SAVE LGBTQ has turned 32, and the celebration is more than just candles on a cake. It marks over three decades of grassroots advocacy, coalition-building, and courageous leadership for queer rights in South Florida. From defeating anti-LGBTQ ordinances in the 1990s to protecting trans youth and voting rights today, SAVE has stood firm in every battle—and none of it would be possible without the support of its community.
Today, SAVE is laser-focused on building power and protecting lives. They’re training the next generation of queer leaders through SAVE Generations, rallying advocates to speak at government meetings with the “Advocacy is Pride” campaign, and endorsing pro-equality candidates across Miami-Dade and Broward. They’ve even helped stop harmful legislation while writing and passing better laws right at home.
Executive Director Todd Delmay shared,
“Thank you for standing with us, not just today, but through every fight and every win… Here’s to many more years of building a community where we all belong.”
