Our Hotspots Happening Out LGBTQ lifestyle magazine Hotspots is back with a feature on one of South Florida’s most glamorous upcoming nights — The Chic & Unique Ball: Step Into Burlesque. On Saturday, November 1, the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida will transform the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood into a dazzling celebration of music, community, and inclusion.
Sponsored by CAN Community Health, the burlesque-inspired gala combines high-energy fundraising with unforgettable entertainment, all in support of the chorus’s mission to inspire audiences and affirm our shared humanity. The night kicks off with a VIP reception featuring Artistic Director Gabe Salazar and award-winning singer-songwriter Matt Alber. Guests will then enjoy a dinner show with the full chorus, a live auction, and a glamorous after-party by the iconic Guitar Hotel.
Community honors will also be presented. The Bears of South Florida will receive the Douglas Jackson Pew Community Leadership Award. BOSFL President Brock Boyd said, “This award belongs to every member, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helps us live out our mission of giving back.” CAN Community Health will be honored with the Corporate Crescendo Award, for which its Senior Vice President, Kal Gajraj, expressed gratitude, saying, “When every voice is uplifted, our whole community grows stronger together, healthier, and more connected.” This feature story and many more are included in your free copy of the upcoming issue of Hotspots Magazine on stands this Thursday, September 11.
