Grindr says it’s doubling down on artificial intelligence. In a Wired interview, CEO George Arison said Grindr wants to become an AI-first business, arguing AI could solve “some of the most difficult problems that gay people face,” including limited dating pools.
He said, with consent, AI could explain why it made sense to message someone. The shift follows backlash over opt-out AI training notices. Arison also wants Grindr to expand into sexual health, saying of PrEP, “You should be able to order it through the app as well.”
