J Alexander (affectionately known as Miss J) has recently written the book “Follow The Model.” In this book, Miss J reveals his secrets to succeeding at what you love most, shares life lessons and colorful (to say the least) anecdotes, provides a multitude of invaluable grooming and style tips, dishes on the celebrities he’s worked with so intimately and offers a glimpse into the world of America’s Next Top Model. Miss J takes readers through his remarkable life and career that began with creating couture knockoffs on his grandmother’s sewing machine and took a brief detour while he considered becoming an accountant. It was a public casting call for a Jean Paul Gaultier runway show that led him to take his first impeccably clad step on the catwalk and confirmed his conviction that he belongs in the world of fashion. “Follow The Model” is available at all major bookstores for $22.99.
Two-time Emmy Award-winning and self-proclaimed “D-Lister” Kathy Griffin is back with a riotous new special, “She’ll Cut A Bitch.” Her sixth Bravo stand-up special, “She’ll Cut A Bitch” originally aired on April 15th, and will now be available for the first time on DVD onJanuary 12, 2010 from Shout! Factory. Uncensored and unrated, “She’ll Cut A Bitch” boasts hilarious never-before-seen footage that includes The Octo Mom and Sarah Palin, a Maggie Griffin update, texting Sarah Silverman and more! The star of television’s “My Life On The D-List,” Kathy’s sharp, revealing narratives have become legendary and her latest special “She’ll Cut A Bitch” is no exception. Written and performed by Kathy, her latest comedy special takes you backstage in Hollywood — from the Emmys to the Grammys and even to Cher’s Malibu mansion. Appearing before a sold-out crowd at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, Griffin is in top form dishing about Judge Judy, James Gandolfini’s “ring of fire,” her mother Maggie’s beloved box of wine, hosting the “Shmemmys” and supporting Suze Orman for president so she can go about flipping the White House “and turning it for a profit.” “She’ll Cut A Bitch” was a 2009 Emmy-nominee for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special. Kathy has hosted multiple comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central and Bravo. A two-time Emmy-winner, Kathy also recently hosted the 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards and in September ‘09 released a new book titled “Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin,” which is a #1 New York Times Bestseller. She has performances scheduled nationally throughout January 2010.
