The competition is starting to heat up big time. On Friday, October 1st there will be a fierce drag off contest between the two owners of Hamburger Mary’s, Michael Higgins and Kurt King. The guys are starting to pull out the big guns for this lifetime event and benefit! We understand friends from the Straz’s Performing Arts Center and Ybor City VIPs have already been talked to. All this good fun is to benefit the GaYBOR District Coalition and help with the funding of the GaYBOR float in the Orlando Gay Pride on Sunday, October 10th. There will also be a very special GaYBOR Bingo at Mary’s on October 6th. Donations for Bingo are being accepted now.
Congratulations to Brandon and his staff at Tribeca in South Tampa and Centro Ybor. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon they put on quite the Late Summer Hair & Fashion Show! The models (all from Tribeca) strutted their stuff down the Centro Ybor Grand Stairway and onto the runway. The excitement level was very high as the DJ was spinning away. To the audience’s delight, Brandon was the host and announcer. Only in GaYBOR do you see such creative fun and excitement! Viva la GaYBOR!
