Scandals and The Stable present Bubba’s Third Annual Country Fair, five days and nights of non-stop, knee slapping, hooting and hollering good ole-fashioned fun in a country fair atmosphere. Last year’s event drew over 3500 attendees to the fair, so Ken and Lloyd have decided to extend the festivities by having events 3 days before the actual fair.

Wednesday, October 6th at Scandals Saloon:
Lady Fancy’s Country Jamboree at 8 pm features their version of some of the most popular country legend stars – celebrated in song and comedy. Opening monologue by Lady Fancy as Miss Minnie Pearl.
Thursday, October 7th at The Stable:
Backwoods Bear Contest – Hot, hairy bears compete for the title of Mr. Backwoods Bear.
Hosted by the always entertaining and over-the-top Russell.
Friday, October 8th at The Stable:
The reigning Miss Korn Queen Candy Cornhole-Cox hosts the Miss Korn Queen Pageant. Categories include: Trailer Trash Day and Evening Wear; Corn Shucking Contest; Pig Calling. Candy Cornhole-Cox has worn her crown proudly this last year and has become a very popular entertainer at both The Stable and Scandals Saloon.
Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th at Scandals Saloon:
The fair officially opens at 2 pm on Saturday. Many, many contests will be taking place throughout the two day event, including: Best Bar-B-Que; Best Funeral Casserole; Pie & Cake Bake-Off; Hot Dog Eating contest and much, much more. 20 vendors will be on hand displaying their goods for sale and there will be non-stop games, including a mechanical bull ride starting Friday night and a dunk tank on Saturday and Sunday.
Entertainment on Saturday and Sunday will be provided by Candy Cornhole-Cox, The Lady Fancy and guest appearances by the best impersonators in South Florida. The fair ends with a tribute to Gospel Jubilee on Sunday at 8 pm.

According to Scandals Saloon and The Stable owners Ken Kelley and Lloyd Pagels, “Bubba’s Country Fair is all about remembering a time when perhaps life was a bit more simple and laid back and a chance to ‘act like a kid again’ in an adult atmosphere. Seeing grown men and women, blindfolded, trying to eat the most Ritz Crackers off a plastic board for no other reason than it’s fun and, oh yeah, that fabulous winning ribbon. Equal to the fun is this wonderful opportunity to raise money for charity. This year, with so many worthwhile organizations in desperate need, we decided to not designate just one charity but rather multiple organizations. Each vendor, and we have over 20, has the opportunity to raise money for his or her favorite charity. Spreading the wealth is what it’s all about and with the tremendous support Bubba’s Country Fair has received from our community the last two years, we know this year will be even more successful.”
